DuPage United Action Teams

Action teams of volunteer leaders carry out the work of DuPage United on issues of justice and the common good. In 2006 there are four action teams: Legislative, Housing, Healthcare, and Immigration. These teams prepare research and plan actions related to the Action Agenda 2006, which was approved by the Delegate Assembly on January 22, 2006. While these teams primarily focus on the Action Agenda items, they may from time to time research and propose additional action items to the Steering Team.

Action Teams are open to members of institutional members of DuPage United. Each member institution is encouraged to have at least one representative on each Action Team. The teams meet as needed and communicate between meetings via yahoogroups.

In addition to the Action Teams described above, there is also a team dedicated to coordinating community-building events to increase understanding among the institutional members of DuPage United. In Fall 2005, the event was a private screening of the movie, “Kingdom of Heaven,” followed by a directed discussion.
